I haven't heard of one. That isn't to say that there isn't one that exists. We just don't know of each other.
There is a yahoo group that is still alive and kicking. Most of those people are also on the bbs here.
I forget the name of the yahoo group, but you can link to it off of Dave's site.

Look under links.

Just drop into any efnet server and start up #bc_bf or something. I could start up #legacycentral if anyone is really interested. I'm in IRC 24/7.

You ever see those really old men who insist on doing something one way and will never change even if its wrong?
Thats how I feel about the users on the yahoo group. So much good information is lost on that dang thing. Its so hard to read through all the messages.
There are so few of us Legacy people, its stupid to split the community.

IRC is a chat and a file tranfer kind of service. The yahoo groups is were this board came from. There are still a few people still in the yahoo groups because they just like it and don't want to change to the bbs (or something).
The yahoo groups basically would email new responses to you if you wanted and had basically only one forum. All the messages were grouped together by month and there was nothing real obvious to say if it was a new messag or not. Some of hte new messagse were displayed on the main page, but information was easily lost and it wasn't the best organized.

Well, i've been around as long as almost anyone in the internet community based around the BC-BF. When Matt first started the Yahoo Group, it was a break away from the Legacy Forums on the i-club/nasioc, so that we could talk about specific stuff without all of the spillover. I was there, and basically co-moderated the whole group, with help later from Legacy777 and Jason Grahn.
This BBS was created by myself to address the complaints against Yahoo. The board started out nice, simple and useful, but as it grew, the messages became so convoluted that it was hard to follow threads. The takeover of the egroups by Yahoo, and the subsequent addition of ads and whatnot made it more reliable and faster, but a bit more bulky.
An independent BBS seemed like the answer, and so here it is.
As for the IRC channel, i'm in #legacycentral right now, under the nick "kampf". Come in anytime.
