but mine's a thunking something fierce and i don't think it'll last much longer.... right now i have a '91 AWD 4EAT; i'd like to swap it over to a 5MT. i briefly glanced at josh's write up, but since that's an AWD + 5MT swap, will i need all of it? kinda confused how where exactly the AWD comes into play when swapping transmissions? chances are i'll buy the parts and have someone else do the work... but could i get a short list of what i'll need?

also; someone tell me why i'm right to keep this car.... i'm sure a newer subie.... eeerrrr... no... must keep bad thoughts out of head....

Get a 5mt awd Subaru. Unless it's one of a kind, in tits condition I can't see doing a manual FWD swap.

yes - today i had to succumb to that fact.

it's almost dead.... actually, i've never been able to completely kill a subaru, so i think i'll fix the tire and see if i kill it.... to the point where sally won't even move.... hmmm...

however, on a much happier note... until i find my new legacy i got a '91 4wd 5spd loyale to drive around. 8)
