Autometer boost gauge

I just bought a pro-comp ultra-lite boost gauge. It didnt have a T-fitting and connector from the T-fitting to vacuum hose. Furthermore, the needle isnt exactly on the zero, but slightly to the right, not on the 1. Should I return it? or work with what i have? Did anyone else experience this?

Any responses will be appreciated,
Mike

I would strongly suggest getting a different boost gauge. For one, the gauge might be off, judging by the description of the dial. And for two, I've known two people with Autometer boost gauges that were off by 2 psi!

But, if you plan on using it, just buy the appropriate sized t-fitting from an autoparts store. They should have it.

I have an Autometer Phantom series boost gauge and I love it. It reads perfect.

Take it back and exchange it.

Oh, and mine didn't come with a T either. I had to buy one.

i got an ultra-lite boost gauge too, mine was slightly to the right also, and then it fell off of the table i was working on, and the needle now rests at 1psi when the cars off, so i just subtrace 1 psi from whatever its reading

I have the same gauge as Matt. Reads dead on to the ECU.

Auto meter's aren't THAT bad... I have the phantom boost gauge, and after about 2 years or use its a pretty noticeable amount low, but thats pretty good use out of a gauge I guess.
