Have new fuel line around. You often have to cut the old fuel line off and you might as well replace it. Technically you need fuel injection line, which is exspensive, but I have regular fuel line on and havent burnee up yet. But to be safe i would replace with the better and more expsensive line.

I just replaced mine today.

I replaced both lines (to the filter and from) with fuel injection line.

I got 2 feet of line and had a bit left over. It was $3.99/ft from my local Advance Auto.

Depressurize the system by unplugging the fuel pump and cranking the engine for 10 or 15 seconds (if the engine starts, let it stall and then crank it). There'll still be fuel in the lines, but not at high pressure.

Douglas - Dude, get fuel injection line! Regular fuel line isn't rated for pressures above like 15 psi. A high-pressure fuel leak in your engine bay is gonna be bad news!
