Now I'm sure we've all been there, backed up a little too much, let a car door swing accidently, etc. that's done a little damage. I have always owned up to it though (only twice got someone mind you) and the first time I waited till they got back and the second time I left a note with all my contact info and an appology. But friday night I parked my car in my usual spot at little after midnight. I go out today to my car for the first time of the weekend and I find that some little f*ck has backed into my rear quater panel on my driver's side. Not just a little dent but pushed in the 'line' a good 3 inches leaving a large dent. Scratched it of course, I didn't see any shinny metal but I'll take a closer look once I calm down some. They didn't even leave a note or anything, just up and left. I know they felt it. There was plenty of dirt on the side of the car as usual and they could have at least written sorry. Little pieces of shit. I'm going to keep asking around and try to find out, I may move my car and block acess to about five spots that that house uses and write on my car that I want to know who did it. If they'd just left a note I'd just asked them to pay for paint and that's it. AHHHH, it's been a bad month for subies...

Yeah... two days before getting my license, I backed out of my driveway to pick up my dad... and a friend of the guy across the street parked in the road across from our driveway. I felt a small bump when I braked to shift into drive, but thought nothing of it. Until I got out of my car to inspect it after picking my dad up. The left corner of the rear bumper had a big scratch in it, and red paint surrounded it. Crap. So I went back and the car was gone... stayed at the house while they called him up and had him come back...
I didn't know the guy, but he brought his girlfriend with him and I did know her. So for a few days she picked on me in school about "learning to drive" to which I countered "teach your boyfriend how to park."
Stupid thing is, his car had two parallel marks about an inch long and a quarter of an inch wide on his passenger's side door. They were white, and looked as if some snow or dirt had flung up from his right-front tire and hit the door. No dents.
My car had the most "damage," with significant paint loss and the annoying red paint. Ah well... It was my fault, and I atoned for it.
And now I'm really, really careful everytime I back out of anywhere. Never want to go through that again.
However, it made me a temporary hit-and-runner, since I didn't notice until we had both left. >.>; Not proud of that.
I hope you do find 'em, though. They should've done something to inform you.

I can understand not noticing right away, but you came back and made things right. That's cool. I'm positive they felt this one and if they come back and make it right then it'll be water under the bridge. Until then they'll keep the label of 'little f*cks'.
