stock boost control

on the stock boost control. i see there is a knob. is it safe to turn this? can it raise boost or just nothing?

ya. the stock boost control is right next to the air box right? with like 2 wires coming out of it

Yes, I don't recall a knob on there. You sure you don't have a MBC?

ya because its a stock car. i'll take a picture of it tommorow or some time when i get a chance. i was turning it but i didnt know if it was a good thing

I think you're thinking of the air filter on the pressure exchange solenoid.

There's no knob. The pressure exchange solenoid has a black cylindrical air filter on one of its nipples, as shown in the picture at the top of the page I linked to.

it doesnt look like that. because this one has a knob on it and ya. i'll take a pic of it right now and i will show u. be back in like 15 min i have to go to my friends house thats where its parked

Hmm, okay, I'm interested in seeing it. Maybe a previous owner put a manual boost controller on.

To me that looks the same as the top picture on the page I linked to. That black cylinder is the air filter. The brown thingie is the pressure exchange solenoid. The boost control solenoid is the thing underneath, that has the black and pink wires going to it.

You can turn it if you want... it won't do anything. If it's cold it might snap, actually...

what he's saying is the knob that you're turning is the air filter.
