Yes I Seached though 2 pages with "offset" in them and didn't find the answer to my question.

17x7 wheel with a +38 offset. Will it work on stock everything?

215 tires FYI.

You will probably rub the shit out of your fenders.

I rub a LITTLE with a 17x7.5 on a +48 offset wheel and 225/45's.

Don't do it! Seriously. That's not a good offset for Subarus.

*Flame Suit on*

They were Fox Sport 2's I beleive. They were on a cellica. Yes I know they they are heavy as sin, yet I feel compelled to go 17in for cheap.

They need disc brake simulators.

I got my wheels and tires for $120.

I run 15x7 +45mm Kosei K1s (with 225/50-15 Victoracers) on the 2.5RS when I autocross and that setup puts the outside of the tire slightly beyond the fender (and the only reason that it still works on my car anyway is due to the smaller rolling diameter of that combo and my suspension setup...it still slightly rubs in the rear on hard cornering). So yeah, I'd say +38mm is a little too far on the low side (sure it's a different car, but most Subarus have similar factory offsets from the factory and my 2.5RS wheels fit my Legacy Turbo about the same as they do the 2.5RS as far as fender clearance).

The rule of thumb (at least for the 2.5RS) was don't go below about +48mm on a 7" wide wheel. Stock offset is more like 50-55mm for most Subaru wheels.

No, I got all 4 wheels, and all 4 tires for $120.

17x7.5 Rota SubZero's and Nitto NT450's. I paid $80 bucks for the tires from a friend of mine (used and worn), and $40 to get them mounted.

5x100 wheel spacers are easily found on ebay, anywhere from 5-25mm. I don't know the disadvantages of using spacers, but it seems to be the answer to the odd offset we run.
