I came across an icy curve this weekend on my way home from work. To make it short, the damage seems pretty easy to repair, except for the a-pillar. What's involved with repairing this?

I dunno I'd think it's more of a cut and weld operation, but maybe you need a new sticker that says Tree Bad Bush Bad.

You have the exact same car as me. I was worried when said 'A-pillar', but it looks intact. You'll need new molding and clips. You may be able to just straighten the metal seams with a small hammer and/or vise grips to get the new molding to fit (pictures are a little unclear). I'd throw some One Step and/or marine Corrosion Guard (metal protectants) on the metal in there before putting the new molding on, just to be safe. I'd be most worried about the door. A new door from a JY may be the best bet as replacing the skin would be a real PITA and there is likely some dorr frame damage anyway. Worse case on the window molding you may have to get a glass place to take a look, but I think you're okay. Better off than me with my recent 1/4 panel damage.

Thanks, that's reassuring. I was hoping to replace the entire door - the window shattered and the motor took ages to roll it up when it was there. I'd keep the lock cylinder though - in case I ever take the VIN to the dealer for a key that fits the door locks.
I'll look into the metal treatment.
