I was talking with Jim (Homeslice) about his seat belt swap. he mentioned that the manual belt buckles won't fit into the auto seat belt receiver that's bolted to the seat.

So I was curious if anyone had a picture of the manual belt buckle and how it differed.

here's a pic of my auto buckle

If no one beats me to it, I can grab one tomorrow Josh.

Edit: I shoulda looked at the pic first. That part is found on the belt, and the receiver for it is bolted to the seat frame. I'll still grab pics of both, so we have it on record.

mm let me tell you guys something,

I tried to do the swap once, thats when i bought my car back in november, i have all the pieces in the garage for it and you will have to take your seats out and change the seat belt buckle to a manual seat belt buckle. Also do you guys know where i can get the trims for the B pillar and a pillar if i do the conversion????

You can try a junkyard for the B piller trim pieces.

I doubt you'll be able to find new pieces from the dealer any more.

You mean the B-piller pieces?

I really don't have any place to get them. Junkyards down here in houston are pretty much void of any early subaru stuff.

You might want to try some of the online subaru junkyards. However I don't really think you'll find much in the US. Probably would have to source some from canada.

Why not just leave the trim alone? If you remove the latch piece that slides up and down it looks ok.

you have to change the a and the b pillar other wise you gunna have have a big slot where the track went and no slot for the height control. or jus go no a or b pillar. you gotta call can. there a place up there called action auto they got a couple of legacys. i got some parts from them.
