A/C

Quick one here, I cant seem to quite tell what is making the squeeling noise I have. It goes away after a few minutes of driving, but will make a squeel for a second when idling. I have it narrowed down to that right half of the car (ac, belt, tensioner).
My a/c belt adjuster seems fine, I still have tension. I am thinking the compressor bearings are bad. Would I be able to take off the a/c belt and not remove the compressor for now, and still drive around okay? I dont see a problem with it but just want to make sure.

Yes, you'll still have heat. You just won't get chilled refrigerant.

You also might want to pull the A/C relays so you're not powering the clutch needlessly.
