Turbo front springs are 1" shorter than NA wagon spring

I replaced the fronts struts today and replaced the wagon springs with some turbo sedan springs.
The turbo springs were 1" shorter in ht, and when compressed with my weight, compressed about 1/4" less than the wagon springs.
I drove it around a bit and didnt have any handling problems but then again didnt do anything stupid.
Of course, the fact that one strut was so shot it wont come out of its hole may explain the improved handling.
