I just bought a 1994 legacy RS manual. I am very interested to speak to someone who has or knows anything about doing an engine conversion on a legacy. I was thinking of installing a WRX version 3 engine. How much for something like this?? You might say, why dont i just buy a wrx? well, its because i just want something different. I love the interior and look of this car.. lowered suspension, the lot, its beautiful. The standard engine is a bit weak, it can't handle much above 300ph.. i wonna be pulling under 12 seconds.. Anyway... if anyone knows anything, give me a yell yea?..ta

Under 12 seconds? Thats pretty bloody quick and your going to need some serious power to get there. A dog box wouldnt go astray as the standard box will not take that much power for long. One of the guys in Aus has a dog box fitted to his RS sedan and it runs a 13.5qtr at the moment but its been retuned so it should be quicker.

Try maybe looking for the newest rex engine you can and then computer, exhust, injectors, fuel pump, intercooler (fmic) and an aftermarket turbo of some sort. Some of the guys here are running vf30's but im not sure whether they''ll be able to produce the kind of power your looking for.

Dont sell the Legacy for a rex. Legacy's are a much better looking and better allround car.
