I have 195/60/15 on some aftermarket 15" Centerline wheels. The tires are BALD!!! I need some new tires.

Should I get 195/60/15 again or is there a different size I should go for for a better look and performance.

Thanks!
Jason

I had 205/60/R15's on my car before I upgraded to WRX wheels. They ran fine and looked nice. A nice H-Rated tire is what you should look into. Kuhmo...ect.

Do you care what kind of tires or just size?

I was looking into size mainly, the brand will come after that. I want to stay around $250-350 for the set. Closer to the $250 any suggestions would be great!

All-season. I was thinking of going from 60 to 55 for a little lower profile look.

I like the thicker tire look on NA's.

A lower profile tire will squirm less and reduce the gear ratio; more power, less mpg, more shifting. going 60->55 wont be a giant change. Your speedo will be slightly off, and you might find that 55 is a nonstandard size and thus quite expensive, i dont know. Better tires will make a bigger difference for performance. It will definately "feel" better because of less sidewall flex, but it may not accurately reflect improved handling.

205-55-15 is a fairly uncommon size that will limit your options, bargain options especially

TB . . . if you don't mind driving to Seattle, I can get you a hookup for Bridgestone RE950 all-seasons. They're AMAZING TIRES, and my friend can get you out the door. . . OUT THE DOOR. . . for little more than what Tirerack charges. I'm talking about tires, mounting, balancing, road hazzard warranties on the set . . . all for that.

If you're interested, we'll nail-down a size and I'll get you an out-the-door quote.

Oh yeah. . .. as Laurel will likely say in a couple hours once she sees thread, "They're like sex". ;)

Thanks for all your input.. I got a set of 02 WRX wheels with the RE92's on them. They are mint! He took them off before they even had 1000 miles on them. I paid $400 for them which I don't think was a bad deal considering the tires are pretty much new.
