Finally, I bought a turbo!

After several long weeks of just wishing I had some boost.. I bought ten of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... N%3AMT%3A1 I figure I'll dremel through the hood, and mount then in parallel, using PVC pipe and dryer exhaust hoses, along with a small army of 99 cent funnels and maybe old ice cream cones to work like scoops and drag every last damn pound-per-square-icecreamcone into my intake. Needless to say, I'll remove my snorkus, stock air box, and, hell- I can run filterless if I use 92 octane gas, right?

this crap has got to stop.. I'm looking for real blowers from a wrecked benz.. and all I can find are bathroom fans in plastic housing that produce marginal gains at 8750 rpm. Ugh. I hate e-bay.

You need to run filterless on leaded gas, dude. Octane is rated like golf. The higher the number the worse it is.

Isn't leaded gas often higher octane? I mean, Race gas is leaded...

Image. I thought you might get that one. Guess not.

I guess I read it wrong. Sounded like you were suggesting leaded gas to be funny, and contradicting yourself with the higher number is worse.

I guess I would have suggested running diesel, for maximum humor impact, since leaded makes some sense, and since diesel is 40 octane.

Gustavohuber's icecream turbo!

Does it come in strawberry? That's my favorite.

Or maybe you could run them in series so you's be pushing something like 186 psi. Man that would ssssweet.

Hopefully that would be enough boost to overcome the 43 amps of extra load on your alternator. Or you could just fill up your trunk with dry cells.

I would only pray that you don't crack the welds on the intake. lol
