Electrical Connection without a connection....?

On my passenger side front headlight, were the wires go into the harness, I have some wires coming out to a black electrical connection, but on my car it doesn't connect to anything. What is that for? Is it that way for everyone else??

I got the same thing... looks like its coming off the parking light/turn signal harness

It could easily be normal. There are a lot of places on our cars where you'll find a connector hanging loose, or even a mating pair of connectors not connected. Some of them are for diagnostic purposes, and some are probably for some dealer-installed or even factory-installed options.
