Intermittent Duty Solenoid B code

When I started my car yesterday (wasn't sitting out in the cold for a while or anything, just a normal day) my power light decided to flash at me. Fearing the worst, I drove it around for a little test drive and pushed it a little in order to get it to downshift. It wasn't really a dramatic difference, but I could definitely tell that the tranny was a little hesitant to downshift, and when it did decide to shift, it took a little longer than normal.
Also, on the 2-3 shift, it seems like it got confused sometimes and swapped back and forth between the two fairly quickly (2nd gear, wait 1 second, shift to 3rd, wait one second, shift to 2nd, etc...) basically leaving me with no power until I moved the throttle a little bit, at which point it figured out what gear it wanted to be in.
So, the light has been flashing at me on probably about 50% of my startups over the past two days, but that first time was the only time that I noticed any drivability problems...
On pulling my TCU codes, I got "Duty Solenoid B" (code 12) for an existing problem, and vehicle speed sensors 1 and 2 (codes 32 and 33) for previous problems...
hmmm, so I'm going to ignore this until it starts affecting drivability. How big of a deal is Duty Solenoid B? What does it control? And am I going to totally ruin my tranny by not doing anything about it for the time being?
Thanks guys, sorry that was a long one.
