Wheel Question

I'm looking at getting 17x7 wheels for my '93 SS. I was looking at some TSW wheels on
www.cheapwheels.com, but the style I liked only came in a 35mm offset. That would push the wheels 33mm further out. I think that sounds like to much. They do have a style I like in a 17x7 wheel with a 42mm offset, but that would push the wheel out 26mm. Do you think that 26mm is to much? I'm new to aftermarket wheels, so your input is valuable.
Thank's Matt

I am flush with the fender with a 17x7.5 with a 48mm offset.
Check out Rota's for something you like. Their wheels are pretty sharp.

I found a wheel offset caculator at
http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html . It says that a 17x7.5 wheel with a 48mm offset will move the wheel out 26mm and reduce the clearence between the strut by 12mm.
So your saying that being flush with the fender hasn't caused you any problems and doesn't look bad. Right? Because if I got a 17x7 with a 42mm offset it wouldn't come out any farther then your 17x7.5 with a 48mm offset. Do you have any pics? Thank's

I believe that Phil had 1/4 inch or less between his wheel and strut, the additional 12mm should help. Depending on your car you may have some rubbing or might have to roll your fenders.

42 will sit a little bit outside the wheel well and youll need a 205 tire to keep it from scrubing too much on the fenders. oh and why is this in suspension

I guess even a 42mm offset is to much. I don't want any scrubbing at all.
I stuck it here becuase I'm an idiot and stuck it in the wrong spot. If a mod could move this to the wheel section that would be great.
