what model is it

what model is a 10/1990 legacy gx ej22? the car is a new zealand legacy wagon now living in australia. is this what they call a series 1?

Not sure what you mean.....you talking about chassis code?

Yes, it is a series 1. your 91 model overseas is our 92 model, sometimes called the series 1.5. In the USA, we commonly use "generation" instead of "series."
For instance, when the major facelift of the legacy occured in 94, that started the "2nd generation" legacy.
