Ok.. so here's the deal. I work for a dealer in Texas and it's time to get a new Subie. Trying to decide. Do I want a 2.5i Legacy, or an Impreza RS Sport (5-door). any opinions? we also run Hotsubaru.com so dressing it up is gonna be easy and fun. Kinda leaning toward the RS...

As much as I love the Legacy, if you already have one and have an opportunity for a nice RS ... eh I'd be leaning towards the RS in all honesty. But that's just because I like the older legacy styling more than the newer.

If you're talking 05, I'd go with the Legacy. There's no comparison for quality.

If you're planning to put a bunch of parts on it, go RS, there will always be more to choose from.

The legacy is an extra 130ish lbs, has more room, a nicer interior and a more refined suspension design. It won't be quite as nimble as the impreza, thanks to its longer wheelbase.
I'd opt for the legacy myself, since you're going with the less performance oriented models you might as well enjoy the perks of low-po. Really though, either has its advantages.
I'm not sure i'd be all over dressing up a nice pedestrian car, i'd rather spend that money on the performance model. To each his own i guess.

If you're talking brand new....I'd go with the legacy.

Hmm... Ok. It's a tough decision all around. I think I'm leaning more towards the RS. We have so many great bits here from COBB and so on that I could have a lot of fun with the 4000.00 difference.

If it were me personally, it'd be a GT limited. With the choices though, I'd take the Legacy.

Definitely Legacy. It's a huge step up in terms of interior quality than any Subaru in the past.
