Going to do my valve cover gaskets but Im not sure which way to do them. One tech said I could do them in the car while another said pull the engine. Also....

Where are some places that I could buy rings, pistons and all the goodies for a rebuild?

Pull the engine??? Whatever tech told you to do that, tell his service manager. He has no business under a hood.

You can do valve cover gaskets on these cars in 30 minutes if you hustle. If they're leaking they're probably pretty nasty-looking, so you can clean them while they're off if you want; that will add a little extra time.

More tips: Make sure you get grommets for the VC bolts as well, and don't overtorque the bolts (breaking one off is not fun, I know :( )

So get the gaskets and seal washers? So I should just be able to take the covers off without having to take anything else off beforehand?

If you want, you can remove the intake box on the passenger side, and the battery and washer reservoir on the driver side, but it's not necessary. The time spent removing those things will cancel out the time saved by having more room to work.

I recommend you pull the PCV hoses off the valve covers before unbolting them. I always get antsy and unbolt them first and then have a hell of a time getting the PCV hoses off.
