my car starting with the bad parts

Fender I should probably just replace.

More of the same fender, without a liner it kills corner lights, need one of those too.

Rear wheel wells are rusting out again, I had them fixed in the fall but it's back.

Some rust on the rear liftgate, another bummer.

But anyway, now that I've been negative, here's the good.

So, this summer, since I probably won't be doing a swap with 258,000+ on the clock, I'm thinking of some more summer friendly wheels and tires and maybe some GR2s.

As for the rust I'm not sure what to do, probably replace the fender, get a new fender well liner, touch up the wheel wells, get to the rear lift gate and do some touchups on other parts of the car. Most of that will be done by yours truely since I'd really like to keep $$ in my bank account.

Thats about all, take care everyone.

Ive got that rear fender rust too. I'm prolly going to sand it down, hit it with POR15, then some high build primer, then take it to the body shop to spray some base and clear.

Ya, POR15 is awesome stuff, my friend restored his 1969 GTO judge with it. They say you can just put it over rust, but sandblasting it first would be the best. Then again, after sandblasting, and removing ALL the rust, you should use an epoxy primer, then do your body work over top of that.

yeah I don't think the actual methods used will be the problem, if you notice that's a big gaping hole in the first shot and no amount of rust prohibitor will fix that... and the dent on that fender too... eh...

anyway.... not bad for a 12 year old car I must say
