Okay, what the hell!?

Today was a beautiful day, so I decided to do a little minor stuff to the car. I took out the battery, cleaned the holder and took a wire brush to the grounds on the strut tops, including switching posts. Ran fine, still had a kinda rough idle... A/C doesn't seem to be working, but I doubt that it's because of something I did today. It blew hot air even on Max A/C...

...but that isn't my question, really. I wanted to finally hook up the antenna cable from my new stereo system, since I neglected to do that when I got installed. Problem is, I can only find the cable running from the radio, not the one from the antenna. I remember stashing it under something when I took out the stock deck, but I can't remember where I stuffed it. Looking at the stock deck, it must be near where the radio is since the stock deck's cable is pretty short--shorter than the one my new deck has, in fact.

So my question is, where the hell is the antenna cable!? I've looked all around and can't find it at all... could it have somehow snaked its way back into the A-pillar while it was unplugged? I have no idea even where to look for this sucker. Where's it normally located?

I don't really need the radio since I have my iPod... but my family likes radio, and it seems lame to have a function on the deck that I can't use. Thanks in advance!

the antenna wire comes down the a pillar, through the drivers dash, and to the center console. I think its the only wire that comes from up there, shouldnt be too hard to find. I've never seen a radio that didnt just have a female for the antenna to plug into.

Note that that only applies to trims with the manual antenna on the roof. I'm pretty sure LS, LSi, and turbo antennas don't run down the a-pillar. Also it sometimes gets lost under the carpet by your feet so check down there.

for the automatic antennas the wire comes up form the drivers side on the trans tunnel. if it gets snuck down there its pretty tricky to get it back but its doable

My antenna disapeared when my car was broken into. Thankfully the place that installed my stereo found it and hooked it up. Usually i install my own but i wanted it to look nice and be hard to steal.

Mine's a manual, yeah... I'll look around for it. I figured that it came through the center... in which case I'd have to take the unit out to hook it up.

Durn...

What does it take to all-out replace the antennae? If we used the same cable and everything, is it fairly-easy to just pop the old one off, and put an aftermarket one in its place?
