just as the title says. i always thought that the wrx had a 4.11 but im comming to the realization that it may not be true.
i also thought i had a fd of 3.7 something but i have come to realize that that also my not be true.
so can anyone help me detrmine what my fd ratio is and if its different than a wrx.
i cecked the chart on josh's web page and that got me even more confused. it said all bc bf's had 4.11

Turbo legs have the same final drive ratio as a wrx. Although i have seen a site list it as 4.11 I have seen many more list it as 3.9.
according to this site,
http://www.spdusa.com/new_page_5.htm, the jdm wrx gets a final drive of 4.44
interesting...
Not only is the Japanese set of gear ratios much sweeter to drive in the intermediate speeds, the US car basically has nothing left to it after the red line in 3rd gear when compared to the acceleration ability of the Japan gearbox.
This closer geared transmission is perhaps the most substantial difference between the Japan WRX and the world export models, certainly as important as the difference in power.

WRX's have a final drive ratio of 3.9, but due to a 1.1 to 1 center differential the rear diff is 3.454 if their a manual, i'm not sure about the autos. and T-legacys like dzx said have a 3.9 FD no matter if its auto or manual
