Laurel remember a while back you were talking about a stealth/taking up bugger all space in the wagon sub install?

I found this pic done in a Forester. Looks exactly like what we're both looking for. I still don't know if I can part with losing that little bin though... Guess I could just throw the stuff that is in it currently into the tray that goes above the spare.

Anyway thought you would be interested. You get to carry the spare and have a sub and be able to fold your seats down.



I still think it is a damn shame we can't flip our spare upside down because that would've been my ideal place for the sub. Not the best for sound but it would've been enough. This is the next best thing.

While not nearly as cool, I've got a truck box with a 8" sub that sits neatly in the same space. I found a line out chart for my 05's deck, and did the same for the Nissan/Bose I had in my Legacy. They both had an extra set of outputs for the rear speakers and a remote in the stock harness. With an amp that takes line out input some creative velcro'n and the amp under the pass seat and I had a nice sounding system that didn't attract much attention.

that's exactly what I'm looking for. It looks great! It'll be in within a few months!

I just went over that with my installer, he said that the job in the focus was done all wrong. The guy didn't really know what he was doing.

Really in what way? I know that cuFt would be down in size.

everything should have been reinforced, the panels used on the front would have been far more visually appealing as well as stronger if he had used a fiberglass cloth streched over a hoop, so instead of the sub sitting flush with the side, it can be curved so it looks a little more stock(see above)
