Not too bad for a vf11 turbo. Apparently it was overboosting really badly and lost all its power up high. So i set the boost back down after i left. I couldn't believe how loud the car is, i feel bad for the poor bastards next to me when i take off. Peak hp was 123 and peak torque was about 185ish?

Bummer about the overboost but not bad numbers, I love how you hit peak torque early in the rev range.

Hehe, at exactly the same RPM, I make 251lb-ft
Also crazy that at the same boost, the 16g makes 100whp and 100wtq MORE than the VF11 at almost ALL RPM's.
Very interesting. Very interesting indeed.
Very good to know man! That's awesome that you got to dyno. Any videos or pics on the dyno? My car was really loud on the dyno as well. I love it

I had the s-afc installed and tuned this evening on a different dyno and put down some different numbers. The car was running extremely lean but now its running lower boost and has a nicer a/f ratio. I dont know if these numbers are corrected or not. Peak hp was 158.79 and peak tq was 183.65.

The vf11 is incredibly small and fell out of its efficiency range at about 13 psi which kinda suprised me. After seeing the first O2 readings, I was just a little worried about the engine going boom again. The 16G must have made the engine extremely lean.

Ah ha! I said 120ish to the wheels. I was sooo dead on. Hey, how much was it to get the SAFC and it tuned?

It was 158ish to the wheels. First run on the dyno jet was 144 hp.
The s-afc was more than i wanted to pay, hr and a half for install at 65 dollars an hr. And 45 mins for tuning was about 105. I wish i had a wideband, it would have made it a lot cheaper to tune it myself.

The comparison numbers don't mean shit though. You need to run them on the same dyno for comparison

Yeh, but the runs at super rupair i don't believe were accurate because the guy was in a hurry and the turbo was overboosting. Also the s-afc was just used to richen the a/f and dyno jets are generally higher in numbers but i like to think its running more power.
I picked up the s-afc II for about 150 dollars.

It seems that super rupair is still figuring things out with the new dyno.
I will be dynoing in a few weeks for my cutout comparision. Which shop do you recommend I go to?
Do both dynos uses wbo2 to tune? Is it extra per hour?
Your new turbo should put down some very nice numbers.

Troy - Go anywhere that has a Dynapack. Best dyno out there. Ask Kelley of Perfection Motorsports. I learned a ton about those dynos from him.

There are no dynapack dynos in our area. only dynojet and dyno dynomatics.

I'd recommend MAC autosports, they run the wideband whereas super rupair, the wideband cost extra. They are also a little more careful with your car.

I noticed the other day that my knock sensor which is disconnected was causing readings in the computer. Apparently the loose wire ran too close to a ground wire on the starter and was picking up signals from it. Readings on s-afc II were at about 58. Since i moved the wire and taped it up, the car seems a bit quicker.

DZX - Could you post your list of mods for these tests? I heard VF11 and S-AFC, just curious what other equipment. Also, boost levels?
I guess I don't lurk around here enough to be familiar with your setup.
Thanks!

Yeah, man! We need to meet up sometime. I actually grew up in Rockville/Potomac. Bmore is only my grown-up home... and even so I still spend all my weekends and free time in DC.

Just a heads up for Super vs MAC on the dyno numbers. MAC is known to run much higher than the Super dyno. Xephyr's little EJ25 NA put down around 150 at MAC and more like 130 at Super. And he had a 1.2 correction at MAC, while you had 1.25 (It's on your dyno sheet

) His RS-T is like 480whp vs 408 at Super.
So, you did see some gains by the time you went to MAC, but probably only 5-10hp or so...
BTW,
Sorry I never called you back about the injectors. I didn't get the message for a couple days because Verizon had some BS 10 minute long public service notice on my e-mail that I didn't have the patience to listen to...

It's ok, they are 550 cc injectors, Jon took a look at my safc and someone had set the input to flapper rather than hot wire. Yeh, when i went to MAC they turned up the fuel a little bit since it was running lean so i really doubt there was a difference besides the number inflation.
However, with the new turbo it pulls way better than the tiny vf11 even up a pretty steep hill with a couple people in the car as Justin can probably attest to even tho it was running like crap. Jon said it'll probably pull about 300 at the wheels on the superupair dyno which should be pretty good.
