Driving home last night, I get in front of a cop. Now my speedometer hasnt been hooked up for a while(long story) so i was VERY glad i got it back together during my break at work yesterday. Cop cuts in right behind me, and in that split second, I sit there in shock ("is my speedo not registering correctly?") Cop flips on his lights, and I pull into a side street, he turns on his huge bright spotlight and shines it in my face(cant adjust my mirrors, the switch isnt hooked up). Cop walks up to my car...
"hello ma'am."
"hi. :( "
"I ran your plates, and they've been cancelled"
"uh, really?!?!?!"
"yep"
"hmmm, well, I applied for a personalized plate, guess I got it! "
"about when did you send your application in"
"a few weeks ago"
"they usually dont cancel the plate til you've had ample time to replace it."
"uh oh."
"well, since i've stopped you, you have licence and insurance info?"
...I hand it over, and as he's checking it..."sooo... what plate did you apply for?"
sheepishly "partywagon. :o "
"haha, have a nice evening miss larsen"
hands my crap back

STUPID DOL

yeah, girls  , my sis got out of doubling+ the speed limit.... anyways your first mistake was pulling onto a sidestreet. hit the loud pedal and don't let go til the lights disappear. if you get caught then all you gotta do is show some leg.

anyways i hate the term "loud pedal" and you never never ever ever run from the cops... on purpose.

Oh how many stories I've heard of girls getting out of doing 80 in a 35... I wonder what would happen if a hot blond policewoman pulled me over

My sister's friend looks a little like Britney Spears with an enormous chest and she got away with going over double the limit through a red light and giving the cop attitude (she actually wanted a ticket as she'd been pulled over frequently and never got so much as a written warning). Me on the other hand...well

Did outrun a cop once, though, or more just outsmarted him ('84 wagon). Had no choice with the way they never cut me any breaks.

HaHa Exactly!

My wife work at the local donut shop and her freind is the police dispatcher, and she goes clubbing with the off duty cops. She hasn't got a ticket in all the years I'v know her.

Me on the other hand, I can't remember how many tickets i'v gotten. Witch remindes me of one of the last expireances befor I took my Turbo of the road. I was crewzin down the road I take to work everyday at a nice pace of 80mph in the rain. Awsome road with lots of technical high speed turns, but anyway, I go by this 230 Kompressor waiting to pull out of a side road as I'm flying along, a few miles later I start to see headlights dipping up over hills and around corners far behined me, (no way I'm letting that 230 catch me) so I step it up a notch and start really driving aroung 90 to 100 doing a little sliding in the corners no biggie. The lites are still back there but not getting anycloser, so i'm start slowing down because the end of the road is comming up, as I get to the stop sign at the end what do you think comes flying up behined me? Oh yes, a state cop. I pull out of the end of the road and in to a gas station across the street before he even has a chance to throw his lights on. He come walking up to the window, I have my licesnce and reg ready, he says to me.
I'v been trying to catch up to you since you got on this road, but I wasn't about to wreak my car trying.

I reply.
If I was driving a Crown Vic I wouldn't try to catch me either.

He says.
You may think you can drive that fast in a sporty little car like this but at thoes speeds you could get killed.

Me again.
Yeah, I ussualy just come up behind you and follow you down the road at like 70mph, but this morning I ended up in front of you.

He's speechless. Takes my licence and reg back to his car, come back like 5 friggen minites later.
Here you stuff, and heres your ticket, do you know where the court house is?

I look at ticket.
Court date uh, wow this was a fast one. Yeah I know where it is.

He smugly says.
Yeah 80 in a 35 in the rain, there gona love you there. Have a nice day.

Me polilty and smiling.
You to sir.

Later when I get to work I notice my court date is one week before I got the ticket. ALL RIGHT!!! automatic out, but then they sent a correction letter in the mail. DAMN!!! BUT!! I had one more lucky on my side, my dad works the State Police so he called in a little favor and made the ticket dissapeer and got me a little more info on it. Turns out the cop was a Sargent so he ussually doesn't wright tickets and that for the speed I was doing he should have pulled my licence on the spot and called in the flatbed. Thank god for dumb cops.

In reminicence this all happend about 1 year ago. I miss my Turbo, must get it back on the road.

THE END.

you guys really need to chill.....hahaha

Two of my tickets were for over 90......

First one was for 90 in a 55 in oregon.....don't get me started on oregon.....

I got one for doing 55 or something is a 35....it was pretty gay because they were using timing devices.....I still think that whole method of speed detection is BS......

Got another one for doing 90 or 95 in a 55 on my way up to toronto. The cop made it sound like it was going to be this massive ticket......he came back and sorta looked pissed off.....got my ticket....and I think it was under 300.....don't remember the exact amount.....but I took my ticket and went on my way.....in toronto I drove 90-95 and fit in just fine :)

The latest ticket I got was in Houston on the main drag.....i'm convinced the SOB pulled me over because of my car.....and thought I was up to no good. It was the fastest I've ever gotten a ticket.....I was on my way in less then 5 min......however I paid 75 bucks and will let the lawyers make it go bye bye. The ticket was only 150 bucks....which I was debating if it was even worth me taking off from work......but since I'm a salaried employee.....who cares.....they've been getting their money out of me lately, considering I'm doing the work of two people who should be paid more then what I make....but I digress..... The court date got post-poned nearly six months. I got the ticket july 4th around 12:00 am. My moved court date is dec 3rd @ 8am.....

I've been pretty lucky considering I only really have 3 tickets, and the miles I have driven on my car. I think I've got probably 20,000 miles in cross-country trips from coast to coast.....

I will say I have mellowed though.....I still like to drive fast, and I will usually go with the flow....which in BFE texas it's usually around 90.

What's wrong with Oregon, Me and My brother have gone slightly slower than that, and have never been pulled over. I have seen people get pulled over who have been going like 100MPH though, they are the ones who pass us

Ive been lucky, about a year ago I raced a 300 ZX got up to a 120 mph in a 35, I was gaining on him too, but lucky for him I had to turn  and a few months ago some state trooper decides he's gonna pick on me. Im driving about 60 in a 55, 55 when he got behind me, flips on his lights. I pull over, he walks up says I was doing 65 and climbing, I deny it, so does my friend. I give him my stuff, he comes back gives me my stuff back and says "so... is this car Fast and Furious?" "is it a highly tuned machine??" i say "no not really". he lets me off with just a warning.

at least he was kinda nice, but that fast and the furious comment kinda pissed me off.

stupid movie

I've been doing my share of long distance driving lately as well. I've recently done a few trips wAAAy faster than I've ever done them. It wouldn't mean much unless you're from California, but I've been averaging roughly 75 - 80 mph on my long distance drives lately. This usually equated to me driving 85 - 95 on the long stretches.

The radar detector REALLY helps on the drives that I've been doing lately because they're fairly open/straight stretches of road where you can pick up the radar from pretty far off. Just a few days ago I made it from Oakland to Truckee in 2.5 hrs. That was the fastest I've ever done it, but it was on a weekday during non-rush hours. I've also received a ticket for 90+ in a 55, but that was when I was 16 and had only had my license for a month. Retarded!

It come with expirience. You can only get pulled over so many times before it just doesn't really worry you any more. I just keep a positive and happy attitued the whole time and it really throws the cop off gaurd. Never give the cop a bad attitued it will not go well for you.

If you liked that story you should like the one about when I did a line lock in front of a cop in my BRAT just to see what I would get for a ticket. 8)

Every state loves to pull out of staters , but during the past few years, Oregon hasn't had the funding to pull over anyone.

A line lock is when you lock the front brakes on in order to do a burn out withou moving forward. Similar to a brake stand but without the destruction of the rear brakes.

Anyway I was in a destrutive mood one night and decided that I would do a nice big smokey burn out wile leaving McD's to see what the cop would do about it. So I pull up to the exit, pull up the Ebrake (locks front wheels in a BRAT) pull the 4WD lever up in to low range (allows for 3 gear burnouts) and start spinning the rear tires, I release the E-brake and pull out into the road with tire still ablaze and pull directly into the next parking lot over. I'm already waiting for the cop before he even pulls out of McD's. He throws on his lights and blocks the front of my cruck, a few seconds later I notice that another cop has pulled in behined me.(I don't even know where he came from.) The first cop gets out of his car yelling at me to turn me vehicle off, so I do, then he comes walking over yelling at me.
What the hell do you think your doing.

Me.
Um, pulling out?

Cop.
Whell thats not how you do it.

Me.
I uh, lost traction.

Cop, still pisst.
Give me your license and reg, and wait here.

Me.
Don't worry I'm not going anywhere.

I sit and wait with lots of bright lites in my face.
Cop comes back.
I,m cutting you a break. (I don't know why?)
Heres your ticket, it's for excessive noise and bald tires.

I take ticket and look at it.
$138! Thats a lot of noise!

Cop getting even more angree.
I could give you a ticket for wreakless driving! Do you want to loose your license?

Me.
Not really, that would be very inconvienent for me. I'll just take this one.

Cop.
I'll be watching you, you can go now.

Me happily.
Thank you, good night.

and they did watch me. I think they pulled over the Anarchy BRAT at least once a week just to bust my balls.

I'm from Oregon and would love to know if my complaints about the cops here are the same as someone from another state.
