Are you going to go for the 2.6L job on your engine, Nico? Maybe a VF23? That would be a beast that all the NOS cars couldn't touch.

 too bad to hear about another fallen warrior. i layed my N/A 5 speed 2wd legacy to rest, that KNOCK KNOCK sound, hope it didn't cause the same problem i had and that is the rods or something hits the block and shaves small bits of aluminum into the motor and basically destroys everything as you can imagine!

but long story short if you buy a new motor and MAKE SURE its leakdown and compression tested spend the big money regardless of how cheap it could be done. i bought a $350 "junk"yard motor and here are the readings on the pistions #1. 110psi #2. 145psi #3. 138 #4. 151psi.

so dont throw away $350, i also replaced one of the heads and bought a ton of new parts for my car, gutted it out, and the night it started to knock i was gonna be ordering yokohama AO32R's if you know what those are you can see how disappointed i was that i lost my favorite car i have ever owned.

ej221994legacy i hear ya i miss my legacy. i drive a mazda 323 gtx now and its not the same but i am doing some work on making it faster. my mazda tranny juat blew up to day not even a week of driving the dame car. if this was my suabru i would have bin driving at least four months then something would have blow up. in my subaru motor it was piston rings thank god it will be back on the road in december just in time 4 my B-day. no other car in the world is stronger then a SUBARU and i got stuff done to the motor imagine the stress level.
