sloppy steering...

I have a slight dead spot in my steering, about an half inch. My ball joints and tie rod are ok, and my steering rack bushing too. Does anyone had to change a steering rack due to this. :?:

Get stiffer steering rack bushings.

Even new stock ones have a lot of play.

Yes, a bad rack will stick. The play is the bushings if the tie rods and ball joints are good.

I bet the rack is walking in the little mount. Tighten the bolts if you can, or get new/upgraded bushings.

You can see this happening if you wiggle the wheel with someone under the rack.

I already have upgraded mrt bushings, i guess i`ll replace both tie rod assy and ball joints. Maybe the control arm bushing are worn too, are those expensive :?:
