whiteline, gr2's, and rota's, GOOD IDEA?

Hey guys.

My name is Yanik and i'm still a little bit a noob to posting so bear with me.

I have a 1990 red legacy L fwd manual 197,000 miles and i love it. I would buy another car but i just don't see anything out there that a like and is as unique as the legacy.

anyway i was thinking that i might do some upgrades to it but i wanna start on the suspension side becuase boy does this car roll. Plus i have these 15 inch black rims that look like crap and the tires rub so i'm thinking the shocks have got to go anyway (yes i did roll the piece under the fender back to minimize rubbing and they still rub like none other).

I'm thinking of hitting up PDM for some Whiteline springs and combining them with some KYB gr2's (just sounds sweet). 8)

I want to finish off the look with some black Rota subzero's at 17X7.5 with offset 48 from subydude. not sure what tires to get yet though.

My main question overall from this long post is that will this combination all go together without any rubbing from the tires and provide better handling than the rolling i get when i hit the 405?

Thanx for a reply.

I've driven a whiteline/gr2 set up impreza, it was very nice, possibly a little more dampening would be my only change, but it's a minor one.

Swapping to 92-94 spring perches will net you a little more space for wheels if you have trouble with them rubbing against the perches. This also opens you up to all the gc spring options and cheaper 92-94 struts. The perches aren't a wear item and you can pull them from a jy with no penalty.

I'm gonna leave rim/tire info to someone else, but i encourage you to search the wheels/tires/brakes stuff , we've covered this a lot.

I have the Subzero's (in silver) with 225/45/17 Potenza RE070's and I rolled my fenders to clear them.

I haven't rubbed yet, and I feel good about it.

I'm on stock suspension for right now though.

if you're going with whitelines, get the AGX's, believe me, you'll thank me. Then save a little longer for the rotas

btw... you'll be waiting FOREVER for your whitelines. Took me 17 weeks

Where did you get your whitelines from?
MRT?
PDM?
OR BOXER4?
Why does it take that long as well? I mean i could probably wait becuase i have four months of summer break to bust in but still 17 weeks is a long ass time!

Oh and how does the lowering job look from the whites?

I know this was posted a month ago, but I would suggest either buying 92-94 GR-2's or AGX's. Apparently the whiteline springs are too stiff for regular GR-2's.

I wouldn't say they're too stiff. They drove/rode fine. It was just on very large bumps or dips, you could feel that the springs were slightly underdamped.
