How I Spent My Day

Went up to MD to install my new brakes with Phil. Got the car jacked up and noticed that NTB had put my lugs back on with an impact gun and managed to completely cross threaded the bolt-fuckers. Anyways got everything else on without a problem. Finally discovered what was warping all my rotors. Turns out one of the guide pins was sticking and causing the pad to rub the rotor.

Bleeding the brakes was easy with help. There was alot of air and really really dirty fluid in the lines. Once the pads/rotors were broken in they felt amazing. A world of difference. I didn't really notice the increased front biased at all.

It was a good way to spend a morning. Got to learn how to do brakes, meet a fellow LC member and ride in Phil's SS. Just wanted to thank Phil for taking time out of his day to help me with the install.

A few pics of the new brakes can be found below:

That was pretty fun :)

I've got brakes down. That took us, what, 90 minutes? And that was taking our sweet ass time. If I was tryin to ROLL, it'd have taken 30, easy.

Fuck NTB. I can't believe how impossible it was to get those wheels off!

We'll have a Mid-A BBBQ and get Matt, Vikash, you, myself, and some Nasioc friends over for some food, fun, and whatever.

Did you have to replace the studs? I used to see idiots impact them on at Pep Boys without even hand-threading them on first.

Only one needes to be replaced thankfully. I'm gonna have my mechanic replace the stud and try to get NTB to reimberse me.
