or do I have a leak?

My IC makes quite a bit of noise, I can really hear air rush thru it.
How I can I tell if I have a leak?

Mine is loud as balls. If there's a high pitched sound or something that just doesn't sound right, go back and check your connections and clamps.

Problem is I dont have anything to compare to as to what "right" sounds like.

But the water in an AWIC deadens a lot of the sound. I think FMIC's are louder than TMIC's most of the time.

when i give people rides they say my car sounds like a plane... so yeah, it does make noise

People tell me my car sounds like a plane when I am flying past them.

Inside, I can't hear any noises other than the turbo and the exhaust.

Mine also sounded loud, and I couldn't tell if it was an air leak or not, since the CEL (code 22) was on, which may have been why it soudned so loud cause the timing was retarded and....heh, I should put my Ic back in, see what happens.

When I had my TMIC, with the windows open yes it sounded like a friggin jet turbine. When you've got a leak, you will feel it! Boost will not feel like it is boosting you forward; it will feel as though it is fighting itself violently.

With the FMIC, it sounds a little less like a jet, but my intercooler's always cold after hard driving. Cold as balls! ...wait,

Mine is loud. Everyone that rides in my car also thinks it sounds like a plane about to take off.
