WRX Seat Fitment

I had done a search on here and nasioc and couldnt find a complete anwser to my question. I know most Subarus seats/brackets are interchangable, but I wasnt sure about a few details and about the rear seats.
For my 96 Legacy, WRX/RS seats will fit, but do I need to use my rails or the wrx rails or does it matter?
For the rear seats, I heard some minor modification is needed for imprezas, does that go the same for Legacy's?
Please any help is greatly appreciated.

you should practice searching.

the rails cannot be swapped between wrx and legacy seats because the wrx seat rails are incorporated into the back rest. They will fit, no problem though.

yeah practice makes perfect, but a simple yes the front and rear will fit fine works too.

Thanks

cool good to hear. For the price and quality, I am going to go with wrx seats over aftermarket.
Thanks again.

They will raise your butt. My huge self found it to be highly intolerable.

Yeah, I looked at the WRX seats as well. Besides the seatbelt issue....the height issue was the no go for me.

we've got autoseatbelts. There is a plastic piece on the seat that holds the belt. You'd have to modify the wrx seats to accept this piece, or just live without it.

Believe me, I'd love to, but finding tan normal belts is going to be pretty hard....let alone any normal belts...I'd settle for black. Canada was the only north american 1st gen legacy to get normal belts.

Not sure I follow? Are you asking what the auto seatbelts are, or the piece I was talking about?

Here's a pic of the piece

could the hole in the mounting bracket be slotted to lower the seat a bit? and then re welded to make it a round hole again for security?

i dont have the holder on my car it broke along time ago. i just tuck it into the height adjuster.

My RS seats are the same height as the middle height setting of the SS seats.

auto seat belts basically are a shoulder belt that is separate from the lap belt. The shoulder belt runs along a track on the A piller back to the "normal" shoulder belt position.

It moves when the door opens and closes.

You then have a separate lap belt that needs to be put on.

There's some pictures of the belts from these pics of my stereo rewire

If there'd be any way of getting the manual belts and everything needed. I'd definitely be interested!!

I'm 6'1 and have a sunroof, and I can clear a helmet to the roof.
