Bad End/Drop links make car sway badly..?

I've got a rear suspension problem, I live in Canada and it's rotting away
I looked under today and noticed that the driver side end link is loose and is kinda just dangling there, as in the busings are no longer supporting anything..
Could this, and possible the otherside be a cause of bad swaying on corners and in higher speed turns?
It feels like the car wants to countersteer after I steer..
It's late I'm tired I'll try to explain more in the morning.
