Perrin Lightweight Pulley install..

Anyone ever install one of these? the stock pully keeps turning even when I have it in Drive(yes this an an auto) the driections say to put it in 5th gear..heh.. any ideas on how to stop the pulley from turning?

That's a good question.

Since it's an auto, putting it in gear won't work. Since the tranny is powered by the engine through a torque converter, that means there is no physical connection to the engine......

There's an inspection hole on the passenger side of the bellhousing. You can jam something in the flexplate teeth there.

Isnt the inspection hole actually on the block? that works well, just be careful what you use isnt too brittle and snap off falling into the flexplate/TC area, you are using a lot of torque.. ask me how I know. maybe you can use the breaker bar against the frame rail trick too. which pulley is it for?

Probably their lightweight stock diameter crank pulley.....

so what exactly do I need to remove to get to this inspection hole? wow...I knew owning an auto was gonna make this all difficult:(

I have this pulley. I took a 5ft piece of copper pipe and broke it loose with a new rapps.

It seems to rev quicker. In 1st the car seems a little more zippy. Other then that, there's not much to notice. It's worth what I paid for it though.
