16 inch wheels subject matter, or WRX wheels on a 93 Legacy.

I have a 93 AWD wagon and I am thinking of getting the 16 WRX wheels for it. I realize that perhaps it may be to much of a tire for it but they sure sell a lot of these wheel combos and for the price I guess it is as cheap as buying 4 tires for the original 14 inch rims. The bolt pattern is the same 5X100 so they should fit but I am also wondering if I would need to replace the front rotors for those from a turbo for this choice. I have not really seen any post that say this is a bad idea (the use of the WRX 16 rims) and I really have not seen any Legacy's with these wheels except the 95 and newer outbacks. I am just wondering if anyone has actually done this before and if they like this combination on these older Legacy's......

You don't need to replace the front rotors to put on WRX wheels.
Get some lugnuts for the WRX wheels though.

search button's on the top. Nothing needs to be upgraded for wrx wheels. You simply buy them and put them on the car. that is all.

Find some locally, because shipping is expensive. There's almost always a set for sale in SoCal on nasioc. I got mine from a guy in North Hollywood for $200, with plenty of tread left.

As stated above Impreza wheels fit fine (in fact, I've got 16x7 Impreza 2.5RS wheels on my 91SS). If you want to stay closer to the stock rolling diameter (for a more correct speedo/odo), you might want to opt for 205/50-16 tires instead of the Imprezas' 205/55-16, though (I'm running Falken Ziex 512s in 205/50-16, FWIW).

Those are what I've been pining for, too. How do they run for you? No BS, do you like 'em? Any complaints? How are they in the wet?
The exact wheels...

jamal's wheels are the type I am looking for, hope I can find some around that price locally in the Los Angeles area. I asked about the rotor's since I have noticed that they have (2) different size's listed for 14 inch wheels and 15 (or bigger) inch wheels all though I don't think that the mating surface is any different. In any case the rear rotors on a wagon are listed as being the same size as the turbo. On a lighter note what is the difference between a BC and a BF legacy, and is there a BD as well?

I like them.
I don't push the Legacy quite as hard as the 2.5RS, but these tires grip quite well when I do push it hard (about on par with the Kumho Ecsta ASXs I have on the 2.5RS anyway). Haven't really run them in the snow (since it seemed the Legacy was always somehow incapacitated everytime it snowed this winter), so I can't help you there. No complaints in the wet thus far. I did happen to autocross the Legacy once with the 512s on it (since the 2.5RS was out of order at the time) and they gripped quite well. They are still only street tires, of course, (and all-seasons at that), but still not bad at all.
...oh and they are cheap!
If I had to call it between the ASX and the 512, I'd have to vote for the 512 simply because they are cheaper and seem to be just as good as the ASX from my experience.

I'll weigh in with another postive vote for Falken Ziex 512. I run them in 205/50/16 on the Sport Sedan, and in 205/55/16 on my Impreza wagon. Performance in wet and snow is good.
