and it's a 5MT AWD without a clutch to save it, I don't really have the funds for a rollback truck or a trailer, how can I move this beast?

Could I unbolt the rear driveshaft and put it in neutral? or can it be towed in neutral with all wheels on the ground? This is a short drive on backroads and I'd really like to keep the tranny in good condition despite it's dead clutchyness, maybe I can limp it there I just don't want to die in the process, thats why I'm checking here first.

You should be able to tow it with all four wheels on the ground, the gearbox in neutral, and the ignition switch in ACC. To be safe I'd go slow, but it should be fine.

yeah I'll be riding in the car doing the breaking and steering and a buddy's truck will be pulling it, hopefully he still has a front tow point

Thanks Vikash.

(side note: remember I was inquiring about lighting features on our cars in Japan or something and I noticed 2 plugs on the undertray in the front, well they were my fan plugs and apparently that was causing my overheating problem, joy)

No problem. Yeah, you should be fine pulling it with you in it. I don't know if it'd be better to run the engine for power brakes or to just use non-power brakes to avoid snapping the tow line due to timing mismatches.

Heh, yeah, missing fans'll do it... Just ask dropdfocus.
