Last weekend, as I was driving on the freeway, after a while i started hearing an erratic clicking coming from what seemed like my steering column. It doesn't really sound like normal creaking, so I am a bit worried. I ended up turning off of the freeway, and it stopped. I don't know if it stopped because I slowed down, or if it was because i was steering around corners, but it freaks me out.

Has this happened to anyone else?
