I would love to throw 18's on my 92 SS, but would love not to roll the fenders. has anyone tried a 215/35/r18 on their legacy?
I know 17's will bolt right on, but dammit, I love 18's haha.
Call it ride all you want, but a nice 18 can be classy.
Thanks for your input.

You will almost definately have to roll them.
I had to roll my fenders to fit 225/45/17's, but now that they don't rub... holy crap. But that's not the point.
Your car is going to look funny with stock brakes under big wheels.

would you need to roll for a 205/45/17?

just a thought... since legacies run a smaller diameter stock wheel, 16's look like 17's look like 18's.

No need to roll for a 205/45/17. That is what I'm running, and with no problems.

Actually, I think 17's would probably look better on my car. The 16's look a little small....maybe I've just gotten used to them.

i think the color has a bit to do w/it. as well as the spoke size.
my 16s are the gold 98 RS wheels and the 15's on it now are silver and look tiny.

My rims look big, aggressive, and pimp, all at the same time.

that's true....17's look really nice.
And yea, my buddy has those exact 18 inch tires on his MR2, they're like rubber bands.(laurel)
So Phil, let's say I run a 215/45/17, will this need to be rolled?
I love the look of your wheels, definitely aggressive.
Is it really that complicated to roll fenders?

You might still have to roll. I dunno, I'm running RE070's, which are wider than most 225's (all 4 stacked up to be over an inch taller than my old 225's).
Rolling is easy.

I was referring to wheel width you'd have to run to clear the strut/wheelwell

Oh, yes actually 18's that narrow are pretty common on little rice buckets haha.
The fact that they are so narrow allow them to use a really small aspect, so they get the desired look(rubber bands).
Could someone describe what exactly has to be done to roll the fenders?
Rubbing occurs when the wheel is too wide, or too tall?

rolling the fenders is easy. Use a ABS or PVC pipe instead of a baseball bat . It will flex and you have less of a chance of hurting your fenders. Also, do it on a hot day, less chance of chipping the paint. don't know if that helped you at all.

Got friends in Summerland and a cousin in Vernon, so I know the Okanagan well.
The road on the West side from O'Keefe to Kelowna can be fun.

I think the only thing you have to worry about is the offset of the wheels...
48-53 shouldn't give a problem

I would never consider to place a wheel with a lower offset then 48
