Who lives in Toronto?

So my girlfriend, my best friend, and I have randomly decided to go to Canada.

Specifically Toronto by way of Niagra Falls.

No real reason, just gonna go.

But we need some cool stuff to do in Toronto. Anything fun going on there?

We will likely be staying at the Grange hotel, in the heart of toronto (so they say).

I hear the drinking age is 19 in Ontario, which is dope, and apparently that also, is legal?

I need Canada info! Who's got it?

I'm not real up to date on the laws, but you have the drinking one right and I believe weed may be "decriminalized."

I liked the glass floor in the CN tower when I went there a long time ago. You should also start practising the lingo, and say stuff like "take off you hoser," and "eh," and "what's that all aboot?" Whenever I go there for longer than a week I start to pick up my old accent.

I'm from there. The CN Tower is neat. The Harbourfront area is a pretty good area to walk around. Actually, I guess I'm not the best person to ask, as I've lived there my whole life, so its all routine for me.

However, http://www.toronto.com/ has a fairly decent listing of upcoming events, and should be able to point you towards the touristy things.

If you're coming up between August 19th and September 5th, there's the Canadian National Exhibition. There's carnival rides, and lots of shopping stuff going on.

And yup, the drinking age is 19. All of the bars should now be smoke free, if I remember right, so no nasty smell.

As for the dope, not the last time I heard. Sorry! :)

Any other questions, I'll do what I can to answer them.

That's really the only downside to living in Canada. They make you dress up in a lumberjack outfit and go into this room with a glass wall and eat canadian bacon and poutine and dill pickle chips and stuff in front of a bunch of tourists.

CN tower is cool. The glass for can be trippy if you're afraid of heights. I spent a few hours in a music store, since they had a much better selection of electronic music, but yeah there's quitea bit of stuff to do.

here's a few pics from the observation deck

Cool. My uncle works in the white Bank of Montreal building.

I took a picture of my feet while standing on the glass floor. It's pretty cool, although I don't know where it is.

Lol, my girlfriend is afraid of heights when she isn't tied in (she is a rock climbing instructor). I'm sure that tower is fun :)
