I got the engine from Rising Sun Engines. The are in Chico CA.
Nice guys to deal with. The engine came with ECU, cut harness(mostly there though), intake w/airbox, all engine related sensors including MAF, ignitor ect. Also came with AWIC, pump and heatexchanger
I took the only RA, Sorry

Very cool, Is that the AC compressor it came with?

Are you happy with the AWIC effeciency? Have you checked the temp of the water before and after boost? What boost levels are you running?
I ask this cause I am not happy with mine but hope you are getting better results than me.

The pics before intallation show what it came with. I used the one originally on my car(134A)

I am still doing research with the AWIC. The pump is decent but the heat x-changer is not as big as I would like. its about a 1/3 the size of my radiator.
I am running about 15psi. I havent gotten any imperical data yet, but after a few High speed pulls the water was warm(not hot).
I want to install some thermocouples soon, to measure both intake air temp and AWIC water temp.

My point was to clarify which turbo you were using.

naphappy, meet THAWA. THAWA, meet naphappy.
I had a small heat exchanger which didn't do squat, especially in traffic and at the dragstrip, where it would get hot.
So I upgraded to an AC radiator but it is maybe a 15% increase over the old small one because the tubing is soooooooo tiny barely any water gets through. It suffers a very very narrow urethra.
So now I am looking for an actual radiator or giant tranny cooler.
I also hooked up my two electric fans so they are on when the AWIC pump is on.

shouldn't the AWIC pump be on all the time?

Probably, but in my case, no.
Since I can go forever without hitting boost, I don't need it on. But if I want boost, I wired my SC into the AWIC switch so that I HAVE to have the AWIC on if I want the supercharger to turn on. Kinda of a safety thing.

Hmm, you should try it the other way with the pump on all the time. That should theoretically allow you to remove the heat while you're not on boost right?

Yeah, or at least make it so you run the AWIC pump and fans for a minute or so after boosting. You don't want to let the top-mount heat exchanger get heat soaked or anything.

Oh I can do that, I just switch off the SC with its own dedicated switch. But if I am driving down to the local supermarket, I don't need boost, much less cooling.
Like I said, its mainly wired that way so I don't go on boost WITHOUT making sure the AWIC is working.

The factory setup runs the pump @ 28watts normally. When the throttle is opened 80% or more the pump is bumped up to 50watts.
I didnt have the dropping resistor and such so mine is just full power all the time. I also have the radiator fan on that side running all the time.

Rising Sun motors huh? The place I got my GL10 motor from, here in Sacramento, gets all their motors from them. They told me to go talk to them if I wanted an AWIC as well. Cool to know that you got a good deal from them. Did they charge you the same price as their regular 2.0 longblocks?
