Legacy Wave?

I was just thinking about this on my way home. Is there some sort of Legacy wave? Like, do Legacy drivers wave to other Legacy drivers? If not, I think we should. Corvette owners all do it. In fact, if you see another corvette owner and don't wave, it's considered rude.

So, if you see another Legacy driver, give them a wave!

I always wave to any WRX/STi, Legecy GT/SS or 2.5 RS driver that I pass. I only get a return wave about 20% of the time but you gotta show your Subaru pride.

When I see a SS owner I like to honk, smile and then give them the bird...cheerfully of course.

I don't wave at other legacy owners, unless they're turbo owners, because very few have any interest whatsoever in the vehicle they're driving.

Too true. I was excited the one and only time I got an unexpected wave out of an Outback owner.

its a v dub thing too, most aircooled people and some watercooled people do. I would always wave to other mk 1's and aircooleds when I drove a rabbit.
I dunno about waving to legacies, its mostly 40 year old ladies who drive them.

I give them the finger. REPRUHZENT!

I only acknowlege scoobs if they're out on my fun roads. There's a billion 'subaru enthusiasts' around here, but most of them are the moirettes and lowering springs types.

Msot of the Roos in my neck of the woods are driven by grandma and grandpa and they wouldn't see me if I did wave....or if a car pulled out in front of them for that matter.

If it's someone in a Gen1 legacy that is somewhere in the vacinity of my age I will make it a point to follow them and ask them if they want to sell it or if they need parts.

Most people think my car is anything but a Subaru.

I don't acknowledge the new batch of Subaru owners, because they don't acknowledge me.

My area also has nothing but beat-up 1st-gen Legacies running around until they die...

I saw 3 BFs today, and I usually don't see three Legacies in a week. No one noticed me. I was up in Mammoth the weekend before last, and there were Subarus everywhere. Check out this picture I snapped from the backseat of the car:

I've pretty much stopped waving. No one ever waved back.
But I did find a clean Outback parked next to me this week when there were plenty of other, closer spaces.

I make it a point to build up a little pressure and blow it off when I see another Scooby. If I get waved to I'll usually wave back. Same with the finger.

I park next to Subarus in a parking lot if they look cool. Habits of finding spots next to STis and Legacy SSs, that sort of thing.

I give the wave to every legacy and impreza I see.
Most WRX's dont wave back. Oddly enough almost every STI waves back.
Must be the fact that they can hear my exhaust over their stereo.....

It might be their lack of stereo in 04's :)
