I finally replaced that home depot bolt holding my rear suspension together and managed to install the 18mm rear sway bar, so I decided to take it for a spin around the block yesterday to see how it felt. Then I drove about 70 more miles. To the top of Mount Wilson.

After a nice leisurely drive up to the top I took some pictures. The car felt fantastic, although I need to have the rear toe professionally adjusted.

If you look really close through all the haze and smog, you can see downtown L.A.

Hello, awesome car:

Then I headed back down. Mt. Wilson road is very windy and narrow. Taking pictures and driving is probably not the safest thing to do.

So I pulled over to snap a few. Watch that first step

This is looking in a generally north westerly direction, at the intersection of mt wilson road and angels crest highway. Some older guy in a focus was in a real hurry to get out of the parking lot before me, and I didn't realize why until a bit later.

TIME TO GET SERIOUS, BABY!

The focus gunned it down the road in front of me. I gave him a minute or so, until a car came, which I pulled out in front of. I caught up to the focus about here:

he pulled over, let me pass, and kept up all through here:

I was very impressed with him, although I gradually learned that my car will now allow much more acceleration out of corners. I let him pass, kept up, then he put a bit of space on me, got past a truck I had to sit behind, and I caught him again near the bottom. I pushed it a little harder than I'd planned on, but I suppose that's what makes it fun.

Your title is a joke, right? Having done both drives in question when I lived in Ca, I am going to have to favour Hamilton. But both fun drives nonetheless, and a great photo-mentary of it all...

Yeah, I've never even been to Mt. Hamilton. I just did that to counter Scott.
