New engine options, opinions?

I have finally decided that I'd like to go ahead and swap a younger EJ22E into my car. My engine is burning significant oil (quart per 200-300mi) and just doesn't sound too right. It doesn't have the power it used, etc. etc., but damn I'm glad she's been back
.
My current thinking is that I'll get just the engine itself, block, head and internals. I'd then be able to replace seals and such with it on a bench/stand and then once it's done I'll pull my engine. Take off all my sensors/intake/wiring/etc. from my current engine and put onto the new engine. Drop it back in and be good to go. I've been doing some searching on the swap itself so I won't bother everybody yet with those questions but I do have a few questions about getting this new engine.
I'm thinking something around 120-140k mi should be reasonably priced, in good shape, and relatively easy to find. Reasonable?
When shopping around the jy's and such, anything in particular I should be looking for/asking? Are there any 'standard' warrenties?
Which seals do I need to start budgeting for?
Anything I missed, any other opinions? Thanks as always.
