well, my trans is making a strange loud whining noise. Also if I start from a stop and just keep it floored it redlines in first gear and seems like it comes out of first but is slipping for about 5 seconds before it enters second gear. the tach just jumps around the redline like the ECU is preventing it from over revving. Is my tranny on its way out? the car has about 130k miles on it but I'm not sure how old the tranny due to the history of the car...

what do you think?

Yeah.....doesn't sound to good for the tranny.

Usually the TCU will shift at redline. If it can't shift fast enough the ECU's rev limiter will kick in.
