Directionals (all) don't work

I'm a
NEWBIE-RU. Just got a '90 Legacy (Best runnin' car ever).
None of the directionals work. Tried fuses, flasher, bulbs... What else ??

I just recieved an opinion on checking the Hazard flasher switch. Thayt sounds logical because if it's always "on" or "off" it will disrupt the directional system. I'll get a switch from my neighbor the junk collector.
I fix Digital Copiers and Printers for a living; and Damn if this car isn't any different.
