How does this sound...

I can't seem to get many comments on it in the exhaust forum - so I'll try here where hopefully some more people have headphones or something.

Basically, this is how my exhaust sounds as it stands today and I'd like to know the general opinion on how it sounds, if I need to stick with it, or look at doing something else in the future?

Personally, I think a decent muffler will help deepen the sound a little and remove the sort of no muffler sound.

Just my opinion.

I'm sure others have more experience with mufflers. All I've used is the MRT muffler. I like it.....it's not the best out there.

Toss a resonator into the pipe to get rid of a little rasp.

I've got a Supercat Muffler and Supercat Resonator, and I dig the sound, tone, and volume. It gets HANUS when your rollin, on boost, and it's awesome sounding.

I have a clip of a full dyno run with it, and I dig the sound.

scuzzy, I've found that exhaust sound at idle can sometimes be quite different when the car is driven under load. If you post another audio clip of you blipping the engine and also of one driving and taking it through the gears under part load and at WOT then I'd be happy to give you my thoughts (if you want it). :)

You know what, I never noticed this. and I just came back to this post months later (after someone else fetched my other mp3 off my server)

and it inspired me to make another audio clip, actually driving, the drawback was that the microphone or the laptop picked up some interference when the engine was running, and you can hear slight popping.

somewhat annoying.

that, and it was late, foggy, and I took the audio inside the car (instead of outside).

so here it be:

I'll accept any comments, the setup is going to change in the future, but this is how it sounds now (yes it's really that loud. that's from the rear seat with the rear windows rolled down).

probably gets annoying when driving daily?!?

I have stock with two small holes in muffler, sounds good when accelerating as it is, but nice and quiet at idle...

no, actually it doesn't. it's rather unoticeable at idle with the windows up. granted, it's louder when the car is cold.

I used to work with a guy who drove an S10 V6 with flowmasters. I hated that truck simply because it was so fucking loud it wasn't even funny.

it's loud, but not pull-you-over loud.

Cheap pipes are the way to go...

scuzzy, your muffler surely sounds different from outside at idle versus on-power from the inside. I would have expected a deeper and lower sound when you were accelerating, which is what I like (but that's my taste). And your muffler sounds (not that it is) a little restrictive at WOT, but maybe it's just my speakers.
