Boost Controller install... not sure if it's a problem yet

hard to test while at work...

okay like the title says, finally got around to hooking the dual stage boost controller up yesterday, with the wiring to the cabin done as well for the switch.

gauge was reading -15 on the vaccuum at idle and 8+ psi when driving on stock controller.

gauge now reads -15 - >20 on vaccuum at idle and what looks like 8psi on stage 1. The reading doesn't seem to increase even after adjusting the screw (install calls for 1 full turn of screw to increase pressure by psi, after matching stock), however that said the car does seem quicker.

Also of note, when the stock controller was in effect the boost gauge would rise smoothly and quickly to peak, and on the dsbc it rises somewhat erratically and only reaches peak boost under WOT.

The 2nd stage hasn't taken effect yet...either due me screwing up the wiring (i don't think so) or the controller not working properly, because it is used.

So my question is, has anyone had an experience like this before?
I don't want to keep increasing the boost, especially if the gauge isn't registering it properly, and then hit my fuel cut off, but i'm not sure if the point where it starts to increase beyond stock has even been met yet.

Anyway, i hope some of this makes sense to someone that can shed some light.

turboxs dual stage.

looks like my wastegate actuator spring might have lost tension.
