its weird. after driving for an hour or so the light that says "stop lamp" on my car will come on if i step on the brake. if i step on it again it'll go off. then on again if i brake and so forth.

if i turn on my lights when driving (not stepping on brakes) if i step on the brake it'll go off or if i press the thing on the steering column for the lights. and it'll go away but then if i drive for a long time then the above happens.

anyone know wtf is up?? thanks

One of your brake lights is out. That's why the light comes on when you put on the brakes .

yeah, i checked the brake lights are fine.

Are the connections any good? I would also inspect the solders on the bulb plate housing. . . Perhaps something else is faulty.

I just noticed the same thing happening to me today...

I have all brake lights, but when I press the pedal the "stop lamp" light comes on. If I remove my foot from the pedal, it goes off.

I'll check the connections at some point.

I had this issue. it was just cheap bulbs. I went through like 4 bulbs beforeit worked good. The bulb was actualy blown, but the filament would touch most of the time and it would work. I got pulled over for no brake light. got the ticket, pulled into the next parking lot to look, and it worked. went to my shop the next day and pulled the bulb, it was discoulored, but still worked.

like I said, this happend 3 times.... luckly, only one ticket though.
