Well you should really search first, but there should'nt be any reason why it would not fit. After all, the Legacy' s over seas came with that engine.

What are you doing with your old engine, if the swap commences? :D

Mechanically,
it is a direct drop in for your car. The trick is EM and wiring. But it is among the simplest of swaps. To make it work right, be sure to get the four channel ignitor for the coil on plug ignition if you want to use the JDM ECU.

Or a few guys have used the USDM Ej22t Engine harness on the Ej20 motor, found a way to mount their coil pack on it, and ran it off the USDM ECU.

The big question is which EJ20 is it? What year and model? If it is any of the Legacy ones, other than an RS-RA, using the JDM ECU won't be of much advantage. Give me more details and I can give you more guidance...

It is a 1995 EJ20 Turbo out of an Impreza, what if i were to use an MSD ignition would that be Ok? And also what is the parts compatibility between that 1995 EJ20 engine and the usdm wrx ones incase something on it does ever go?
