I couldnt take it anymore and started rebuilding my wifes old block. Threw in my old 1000 mile pistons and rings, newer oil pump and front main seal and then got stuck. I have SIX sets of heads. None are good enough to trust. Damn.

What kind of heads are you looking for? I can pull the heads off my old NA as I think the only damage it had was to the bottom end.

They are all fine, they just need a rebuild and clean up. Just dont have the extra $150 right now.

Well, today, I picked up the set of heads I had rebuilt. I also picked up the head I THOUGHT was cracked in the exhuast port. It was fine. So there are some serious questions about why I was blowing air into the cooling system.

I think I am going to have a set of turbo heads rebuilt and use those, but swap out cams and change the valve covers to NA covers, and exchange the rear oil feeder on the passenger side head. This way I can use turbo head gaskets and not have to chop them up.

Wagon should be driving tommorrow. Cross your fingers.
